Clive Wright Clive Wright is the Head of the Birmingham Resilience Team and is responsible for ensuring the team’s work programme enables Council compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act. A civil engineer specialising in flood risk management, Clive has brought significant experience in dealing with flooding emergencies, planning for resilience and working with customer and other partner organisations. Clive is a senior Council representative for multi-agency resilience as part of planning, response and recovery matters. Clive is also a member of the Highways and Resilience 24/7 emergency duty officer rota.
 Jawaid  
Jawaid Akhtar is an Emergency Planning Officer and leads on the Warning & Informing and Welfare aspect of the Civil Contingencies Act – this includes website, social media, publications and promotional matters associated with communicating emergency preparedness and Rest Centre Provision. As well as engaging with the Community and Voluntary sector. Planning for Cold Weather, Heatwaves, Multi-Agency Working Together and Humanitarian Assistance Centres. Jawaid is responsible for managing the Birmingham Emergency Planning Support Officers, who regularly promote resilience to our communities and neighbourhoods across the city at a diverse range of events, festivals and shows.  Jawaid is also a member of the Highways and Resilience 24/7 emergency duty officer rota.
 Olivia Olivia Ward is an Emergency Planning Officer and leads on Business Continuity and Mass Fatalities Planning to satisfy Birmingham City Council’s statutory duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. Olivia’s wider role includes the revision of corporate and multi agency plans which help to inform strategic leads during significant emergencies and promote Integrated Emergency Management (IEM) principles across the Birmingham area. Olivia also promotes and provides support and guidance to Council services to devise and implement effective Business Continuity strategies to ensure full business resilience during disruptive events. Olivia is also a member of the Highways and Resilience 24/7 emergency duty officer rota.
 Andrew D  Andrew Daw is an Emergency Planning Officer and is also a member of the Highways and Resilience 24/7 emergency duty officer rota.
Laura  Laura Bowen is an Emergency Planning Officer and is also a member of the Highways and Resilience 24/7 emergency duty officer rota.
Dave Sissons David Sissons is a Technical Officer for the Resilience Team leading on a wide range of areas associated with emergency planning which include the maintenance of the Council Emergency Co-ordinating Centres and the Emergency Response Vehicle, to support and lead on training and exercising events for BRT, to check and provide advice for each Rest Centre sites located across Birmingham. David also represents the team at Community events and at multi agency meetings.
 Jo Nutter Joanne Nutter is a Technical Officer in the Birmingham Resilience Team having previously supported Highways emergency planning and business continuity. Joanne contributes to the overall resilience of Birmingham City Council by supporting emergency response, exercises, contributing to emergency plans and our incident management system.
kam Kamaljeet Badhan provides professional support to the Birmingham Resilience Team. Kamaljeet contributes to the resilience of Birmingham City Council by preparing and circulating meeting paperwork, taking minutes at resilience meetings and managing room bookings.

The team works with multi agency partners on a regular and ongoing basis. The team is based in the Council’s Emergency Co-ordination Centre which is fully equipped to accommodate emergency services personnel as part of joint working for planning purposes and as part of an emergency activation.
