Burst Water Main in Colmore Row

Update at – 13: 45hrs 15 May 2010:  Severn Trent Water have confirmed that water was restored to those affected properties around Colmore Row just before 1pm today.  Investigations identified a split in the mains requiring a piece of mains to be replaced.  Businesses in the area are open.

Report at – 09:30hrs, 15 May 2010:  Severn Trent Water are out in Colmore Row dealing with a burst water main.  The burst on Colmore Row at the junction of Livery Street was reported by Police to Severn Trent around 04:30hrs this morning, 15 May 2010.  The water was affecting the pavement and running down the road.  Water has now been turned off while repairs get underway.  Water may have entered some properties via their cellars.  Severn Trent Water will be leaving contact details for affected owners to get in touch.  A small number of properties on Colmore Row and the immediate area are now without water.  Severn Trent estimates repairs concluding and water being turned back on by the early afternoon..
