City Centre disruption due to march

Update at 13:15hrs

March through city centre has now finished.  Main roads around city centre are running freely.

Update 13:00hrs

National Express West Midlands have confirmed that diverted bus routes affected by the march have now returned to normal line of route.

Update at 12:50hrs

The march has now cleared Broad Street.  Broad Street has now reopened.

Update at 12:40hrs

The march has now cleared Stephenson Street and Navigation Street.

Update at 12:25hr

Back of march has now passed Corporation Street.

Update at 12:00hrs

March is in progress.  The march has passed Great Charles Street which reopened at 12:00hrs. 

Update at 10:00hrs

An unregulated march will take place today through the City Centre. 

The march is not supported by Birmingham City Council and is being treated as an unauthorised use of the carriageway.

Considerable disruption is anticipated in the City Centre, from approximately 11:30am until 2pm.  Bus diversions will be in place and road signage leading into the City Centre will indicate disruption.  Drivers should take care if travelling in the City Centre during this period as this is most likely to significantly affect traffic.
