Severn Trent water have confirmed all affected properties should now have water supplies restored, however the pressure may be low in some areas.

The following is a complete summary of actions undertaken:
Note: BRT refers to Birmingham Resilience Team
- Kings Heath Neighbourhood Office and Kings Heath Community Centre are both without mains water.
- BCC Schools and Governor Support has confirmed seven schools have been closed as their facilities are also without water.
- BRT has informed NHS colleagues, fire and police and currently the emergency services are not deployed.
- BRT has contacted Adults and Communities and Highways. BCC Control has confirmed that presently no roads are closed and traffic is flowing freely around the area.
- Severn Trent Water has issued press statements to local media via their usual systems.
- Severn Trent Water is re-zoning water supplies and all properties should be with mains water later this afternoon.
- BRT has issued a Birmingham Community Alert message to people signed up in and around the area and the Birmingham Prepared website has been updated.
- BRT has deployed an officer to the Dad’s Lane area to liaise directly with Severn Trent at the scene.
- BRT has also activated a volunteer B’ham Resilience Champion, who has attended the scene at Dad’s Lane, and he has confirmed that none of the nearby residential properties have been flooded.

- BRT will continue to liaise with colleagues across the Council and externally. BRT will update the website and further Birmingham Community Alert messages will be issued as further information becomes available.

Severn Trent Water are rezoning water supplies to affected properties, and all properties affected should be with mains water by the end of this afternoon.

There is a burst water main on Dad’s Lane in Kings Heath in Birmingham. Engineers from Severn Trent Water have engineers on site.
This is affecting water supplies to a large number of properties in the Moseley and Kings Heath areas. Severn Trent Water are unable to provide an estimated restoration time for supplies at present.
