Good Hope Hospital – Incident Closed

Good Hope Hospital has now re-opened. The incident is now closed.

Suspect package has been examined and declared safe. Road diversions have now been removed.  It is expected that the Hospital will be fully reopened later this afternoon.

Road Closures – Rectory Road between Riland Road & Bedford Road.

Patients are advised to use NHS Direct, NHS Walk In Centres and GP Practices.  Only use A & E at other hospitals in an emergency.



West Midlands Police are currently dealing with an incident at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. Part of the hospital has been evacuated due to the discovery of a suspect package in the A&E department. There may be some local traffic disruption.

The public are advised to avoid the area. If Accident and Emergency services are required the nearest alternatives are Heartlands Hospital and Walsall Manor Hospital.  Alternatively, you may visit your local NHS Walk-In Centre or GP Practice.
