Update to Minworth Canal Incident

No change from previous update – road closures remain in place.  National Grid Engineers (British Gas)  are on site.   Unless further information is forthcoming the next update will be at 14:30hrs.

British Waterways has confirmed that the canal water level has returned to normal.  However road closures will remain in place until British Gas have resolved the issue of the exposed gas pipe.   Will provide a further update at 11.30 unless we recieve information before that time.

The Kingbury Road between the Tyburn Island at Chester Road and the Asda island is currently closed on the out of city carriageway.

This is due to flooding on the road from the Canal.

The road is likely to remain closed for the next 2 hours (which would be approximately 10am).

This is all the information we have on this incident at present.
