Latest information on Swine Flu H1N1 outbreak
All agencies in Birmingham are following the guidance from the Department of Health, World Health Organisation and the Health Protection Agency. We are all working closely together to ensure that we monitor the situation and respond effectively where outbreaks occur.
We would like to emphasise:
- There is no immediate cause for concern
- The NHS message “catch it, bin it, kill it” will prevent spread of infection:
- Catch it: Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your coughs or sneeze
- Bin it: Bin the tissue
- Kill it: Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly
