Working together for a resilient Birmingham.

BRG Open Day

Birmingham Resilience Group Open Day | Thursday 15th July 2010

Birmingham Resilience Group is working with an ever increasing number of statutory, voluntary, business and community organisations and to maximise opportunities for attendance the programme will be repeated in morning, afternoon and evening sessions. These will take place in the Banqueting Suite at the Council House, Victoria Square.

The day promises to be of particular interest, coming some 5 years since: The Birmingham Tornado, City Centre Evacuation, Lozells Disturbances and Pakistan Earthquake. It is also 5 years since the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) came into force.  Confirmed keynote speakers include Kathy Settle, Dr Anne Eyre and Maureen Kavanagh -more details below.

Please ensure you book early – places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Each session will consist of 3 main components:

We anticipate that the sessions will be well attended given the scope of this invitation, and so I would encourage you to book your place as soon as possible.
