Birmingham Chinese New Year Celebrations

Birmingham will be filled with a sea of red and gold on Sunday 6 February as Chinese New Year welcomes the Year of the Rabbit with an afternoon of free entertainment at the Arcadian Centre. Dragon dances, acrobatic performances, Kung Fu demonstrations and Chinese New Year songs are just some of the cultural entertainment that will be on offer. Traditional firecrackers will mark the start of the year 4709 – the Year of the Rabbit.

Members of the Birmingham Resilience Team will be attending the Chinese New Year Celebrations. They will be providing advice and guidance on being more ‘Prepared for Emergencies’. There will also be the opportunity to sign up for the Birmingham Community Alert.
