Birmingham Business Resilience Forum
Birmingham Resilience Team recently hosted the Birmingham Business Resilience Forum meeting which brings together key business sector representatives with emergency services, transport providers and Birmingham City Council officers to share information and discuss topical issues. Our meeting in June focused on:
- Update on Olympics contingency planning;
- BCM at HSBC;
- Police advice regarding bomb threats (see attached Bomb Threat Guidance devised by West Midlands Police Counter Terrorism Unit and Operations Department)
The group meets three times a year and was established by Birmingham Resilience Team to provide an information sharing network in addition to the advice / info / networking sessions we maintain, e.g. Project Argus sessions we host with Counter Terrorism Police colleagues; Birmingham Community Alert sms / emails; website updates, etc. If you are interested in joining the Birmingham Business Resilience Forum please email emergencyplanning@birmingham.gov.uk or contact Mariola Smallman, Principal Emergency Planning Officer on 0121 303 4825. Our next meeting will be at the end of September. Exact details TBC.
