Birmingham prepares for Pope’s visit
Birmingham Resilience Team are busy working with partners to ensure a safe and successful visit by Pope Benedict XVI in the city’s Cofton Park on 19th September.

Cofton Park, Birmingham
The team is helping co-ordinate Birmingham City Council’s planning for the event, which will attract 65,000 pilgrims to a special mass and the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman. They are working with Government and the Catholic Church on the arrangements for the visit.
Further information will be released on our special Papal visit page
