Business Continuity Planning Assumptions – developmental area of work led by The Civil Contingencies Secretariat

The Civil Contingencies Secretariat intends to produce a set of Business Continuity Planning Assumptions as part of its regular risk communication to businesses. These Planning Assumptions will be designed to inform and encourage capability building and contingency planning among all sizes and types of organisations. The Business Continuity Planning Assumptions will present the common consequences of a range of risks, drawn from the National Risk Assessment and National Resilience Planning Assumptions.

The aim of this work is to provide a one-stop shop for businesses on risks facing the UK and consequences for business. The Civil Contingencies Secretariat is encouraging business sector employees to complete a short questionnaire; the findings of which will be utilised to inform this work programme.
