Environment Agency: New “Flood identity” tool developed for individuals, communities and businesses

The Environment Agency has developed  the new stand-alone flood identity and is available for individuals, communities, groups and organisations to use.

The flood identity will be used to increase the reach and consistency of information about flood risk and the actions that people can take to protect themselves from flooding. It follows the example of other successful multi-organisation campaigns such as ‘Fire Kills’, ‘Think!’ and ‘Change4Life’.

The flood identity will be used by the Environment Agency and others to create a consistent look and feel to flood information regardless of which organisation or group it comes from.

The Environemnt Agency has developed logos, guidelines and templates for you to use. Available templates include posters, leaflets, stickers, email signatures, presentation slides, and event invites. All the materials are stored on the Environment Agency’s online asset store – Brand Bank.

If you are interested in accessing and using the flood identity, please email floodidentity@environment-agency.gov.uk with your name, organisation, email address, and contact telephone number and include the reference ‘FWD Email’ in the subject title.

Once we’ve got your email, we will arrange for you to be set up on the Brand Bank system. Your username, password and a link to the Brand Bank system will be emailed to you along with a copy of the usage licence. You can then start accessing, downloading and tailoring the materials for your own flood communications and activities.

For more information or to access the materials, please email floodidentity@environment-agency.gov.uk
