Fire Safety in the Home

The terrible events in London have led to an unprecedented series of actions and work for Local Authorities, the Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) and other organisations. Much of this work is been co-ordinated through the Home Office, Local Government Association (LGA), Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG) and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) who are all working closely with London Fire Brigade (LFB), FRS, Local Authorities and other organisations. Locally Birmingham City Council, West Midlands Fire Service and other partners have also been working to look at any issues identified.

This is a timely reminder for all of us to be more safety aware in what we can do to make ourselves more safe e.g., fit / test smoke alarm, plan escape routes etc., for further safety guidance visit
