Her Majesty The Queen Visits Birmingham

Her Majesty The Queen and  His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh visited Birmingham today (12 July 2012).

The Royal party arrived at Snow Hill Station where they were greeted by the Lord Lieutenant, Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Lord and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham as well as local school children and members of the public. The party then travelled the short distance to Victoria Square where the Royal were welcomed by more school children and large cheering crowds.

Her Majesty The Queen, signed the visitors book at The Council House where she was met by more dignitories and was presented with several bouquets of flowers and a gift. Both her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh looked very happy and enjoyed their brief visit to Birmingham before travelling on to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The sun was shining and the crowds of people gathered had a great day and a memorable experience having seen Her Majesty The Queen.
