New game launched for businesses

The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) have launched an on-line game as part of Business Continuity Awareness Week.

BC24 is a new and exciting on-line, multi-player, incident simulation game where you can compete with teams across the world to demonstrate your excellence in managing a complex and unexpected crisis.

It concentrates an extended incident scenario into a short period of time. Players are faced with a series of choices through the game, the choices made are scored and outcomes may differ depending on choices made.

The Business Continuity Institute said:

“The BCI would like to support its members and partners in running in-house awareness programmes during Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW). The game provides a good reason to get together with otherwise busy people and improve awareness of the need and benefit of effective BCM. It may also provide a basis to reflect on your own programme. The game is very flexible and allows people to play in their own time as well as from any location with an Internet connection. The game is also being promoted beyond the BC community, to allow newcomers to gain familiarity with BC issues and benefits. You do not need to be a member of the BCI to play.”
