River Tame improvement works

The Environment Agency have outlined details of work taken place to reduce the flood risk from the River Tame.

tameThe work, started during 2010, amounts to over £380k and will restore the channel capacity of the river by removing over 3,750 tonnes of silt and urban debris from the river.  Works also include improvements aimed at improving the wildlife habitat along the river.
