Volunteer Training Opportunity – Cruse Bereavement Care Birmingham

The Birmingham Resilience Team work closely with Cruse Bereavement who contribute to Birmingham’s Humanitarian Assistance Planning.

Cruse Bereavement Care Birmingham is always looking to recruit volunteers and the deadline for their next training course is approaching. Being a volunteer with Cruse means you will complete 8 days of nationally accredited training so that you are fully prepared to work one to one with all manners of bereavement. Once you become a volunteer and you work with clients, you are supported by monthly supervision and on-going training.

There are also opportunities within the organisation to do more than just work 1-1 with clients. Cruse offers a wide range of group support as well (e.g. working with families or the bereaved by suicide or murder), which you may be interested in. You may also opt to be part of  their national disaster response team, who were involved with the London bombings and were on standby for the Olympics. If you are interested then please visit the Cruse Bereavement website for more details.
