Cold weather and snow continues

The Met Office forecasts continued cold weather with further snow / frost today and for the week ahead.

Gritting continues on priority routes and we are advised that grit bins have also been replenished. The www.birmingham.gov.uk website has details of winter maintenance, including gritting routes and grit bins.

Public transport is operating but there may be diversions, delays and/or cancellations.

As always, the advice is to listen to local radio / check websites / social media and plan your journey accordingly.

Monday to Friday – Any school closures will be widely reported via all usual mechanisms (radio stations, BCC website (http://disruption.birmingham.gov.uk/) , individual school messaging systems, etc).
