Met Office – YELLOW Warning of Snow

The Met Office have issued a YELLOW warning of snow for the West Midlands region. The warning is valid from 00:05 Tuesday 27th February to 23:55 on Tuesday 27th February.

Snow showers or longer periods of snow are expected on Tuesday, accompanied by very low temperatures. The warmest daytime temperatures are expected to be -2 degrees with a wind-chill of -10 to -11 degrees.

There is the potential for travel delays on roads, with some stranded vehicles and passengers, as well as delays or cancellations to rail and air travel. Some rural communities could become cut off. Power cuts may also occur and other services, such as mobile phones, may be affected.
